Difficulty in Symphony of War can be adjusted by the player to meet their needs.
Levels of difficulty
|Cadet||The player takes 50% less damage, intended for casual story enjoyers.|
|Captain||A balanced game mode meant to provide a decent challenge to the average gamer.|
|Warlord||A hardcore game mode with increased enemy stats meant to challenge veterans.|
|Insane||Unlocked by completing the game, there is unit permadeath|
As of patch 1.0b permadeath is a toggled option.
