Permanent options

This section describes the permanent options, which are unchangable until the game has ended. These are the options displayed on page 3.

  • Fresh starts: This disables all the options of page 3. The player does not have access to the previous units and items and thus the Memory Stone mechanic is not enabled. Options from page one and page two are still selectable.
  • Head start: instead of starting at chapter 1, the game skips the three tutorial chapters and starts at chapter 4.
  • Heroes' Memory: Story characters from previous playthroughs retain properties, such as traits and affinities from previous playthroughs.
  • Doppelgangers: Story characters from the previous playthrough will be available as non-story affecting characters. They will retain their unique classes. They must be rcruited from the memory stone market section. This does not affect the character Azuros.
  • Early Powers: the player has access to Nephilim Power from the start, instead of chapter 18, 20 and the completion of a gaiden chapter.
  • Veteran troops: Non-unique, non-story characters will have their stats modifiers increased dependent on how many playthrough they have survived. This also affects the Unique mercenaries (SoW1).

Options

Page one

  • Enemy Power: adjusts the starting stats and stat scaling of the enemies. Does not affect ally squad (green) units.
  • Battle healing adjustment. Determines how much healing is done in battle. 100% is the default setting.
  • CP growth: Class points growth. 100% is the default option.
  • Shop prices: Medium setting is the default.
  • Resources: This adjusts the amount of resources mines grant.
  • Bounties adjusts how much gold surrendered units will give. This is also determined by chapter progression. It develops from 50 gold to 100 gold per surrender at the end of the game on the default selection.
  • Magic fatigue modifier: All magic units will do less damage when they perform attacks while defending. The standard setting is 100%.
  • Enemy cavalry Hit-and-Run: determines how much cavalry moves after a turn. Before the legends DLC, this was not enabled. With the DLC introduction, the default became +2. Note that if cavalry has any standard movement left, this amount will be added to that as well.
  • Artifact cost modifier: This determines how much capacity an artifact requires. a +5 capacity artifact will have +9 +12 capacity requirement at 180 and 250% settings.
  • Squad capacity penalty: This determines the extra capacity needed when a sixth and more units are added to the squad. The default option is +2. At +3, the extra capacity requires is +3, +6, +9 and +12
