Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Arena in Symphony of War, like most Dancing Dragon games, allows the player to fight enemies in predetermined conditions. In this case, the player with five chosen squads, is fighting against pre-determined squads (boss is always the same) and random generated squad in a controlled skirmish in different terrain for each arena. The player can lose by being defeated or its castle being taken by the enemy.

The player will be rewarded with tech points and money from capturing enemies and will gain some items, which includes level-up tomes, class points tomes (+500 points). random money and items, with the amounts increasing on more difficult arenas.

In New-Game plus, it's possible to enter the arena without a token, but that also offers no reward. Thus it can be used to test squad compositions in real circumstances.

Arena tokens

Most arena tokens can be gained by defeating squads, the odds can be increased with Treasure Hunter and Landis's Fixed Dice, finding them in marketplaces and bazaars. There also a few tokens that can be found in chests, which is always the same. These are needed to enter the arena.

In case the match is not to the liking of the player, the player can retreat without forfeiting the token. This can also be done at the first turn. In case the match is concluded with a win, the token itself will be consumed and the player will receive random and static rewards, according to arena level and the rank gained for the match.
