Champion
The Champion is a Melee tier 3 infantry unit in Symphony of War and is a great single-target front-line heavy infantry. Having the Guardian trait makes them good as defensive units and their double-attack can deal significant damage to single enemies. This unit is very similair to the Swordmaster, which is a light infantry unit. Statwise and looks, the unit is almost the same as a Zweihander, who can hit a whole column with the same attack instead. The twohander has less strength and five points fewer in armor than the champion, but costs one piece of Obsidian less.
Traits like Resolve, Unscathed, and Bodyguard are great to improve the defenses of the Champion, while Challenger and Concentration are good to improve their offense.
Warrior's Hubris is also very useful for counteracting their main weakness against magic damage.
