Status effects in-depth
Magic Fatigue
All effects that utilize the Magic stat, like Healing, Shield, and the damage from Magicians and Dragons; gets weaker each consecutive turn it's used during enemy phase. In this case an Oracle's shield will go from ~74, to ~60, to ~50, to ~34, to ~20 when used in battle after battle during the same enemy phase.
Chilled
The chill effect will lower the SKL rating for one battle. As a result it will lower the hit rate, glancing blow rate, critical hit rate, and dodge rate of the effected unit.
Units affected will have a blue hue on the character.
Applied by:
Protection can be gained by the Tundra Warrior trait.
Cursed
The effect of curse involves that the affected units can be healed significantly less as a consequence. Or that a target heals less, takes more magic damage, and causes magicians and dragons to deal less magic damage; depending on which part of the game it's referenced in. It's possible this lowers Magic to accomplish this end, or tampers with the The effects of Magic Fatigue in some way.
Units affected will have a black hue over them.
Applied By:
Protection against the effect are unknown. It's not known if items such as the Crystal Lance and Cyrene's Regalia, also increase protection against the effect.
Dazed
The Dazed effect lowers the unit's STR by 25% until the end of combat.
Applied By:
The Ribbon artifact may be used to prevent units in the squad being inflicted with Daze.
Disarmed
Disarmed is a status effect that prohibits the enemy affected from attacking the next turn. It's not known if it involves the charging turn of magic and the healing action of Paladins and Valkyries.
Applied By:
all units with the Disarm trait, which has a chance depending on Skill of being applied. In case of Area of Effect attacks, only the primary target of the attacker can have the status effect.
It's not known if the Ribbon protects from this as well.
Stun
The Stun effect prevents the unit from acting in the next volley.
Applied By:
The Ribbon artifact may be used to prevent units in the squad being inflicted with Stun.
Shock
The Shock effect prevents the unit from acting in the next volley.
One of the few effects which is inflicted with physical force, by either Light Cavalry or Heavy Cavalry squads; and after achieving charging speed by traveling 7 squares (6 with Army Stables researched), and attacking into while being on Charge Tiles (Grassland, Road, Wheat Field, Wall, Ramp). Melee cavalry will then inflict shock (targets can resist) to any foe hit. All units damaged by the Knight's AoE attack will be effected by Shock (if they don't resist the effect).
Applied by:
Immunity to shock is gained by the Polearm Warrior trait.
When researched, the Polearm Mastery will allow Polearm Warrior to grant immunity to shock to any adjacent units, in addition to applying the bonus attack and defense.
