Disarm

Disarm is a Unit Trait in Symphony of War that will prevent this unit's primary target from counter-attacking in the same battle. The chance to disarm an enemy is based on the unit's SKL. It only affects the primary target, it does not trigger for area damage.

As such, this trait is best used for units that can target enemy squad's back or middle rows, but won't necessarily kill them. Archery units like Raiders, Warbows, Arbalests are great examples, unless they are in an all-archery squad. Rangers are good choice for this trait too, though they sometimes kill their target if they can perform crit. Rogues and sometimes Assassins is also a viable option. If the enemy squad has a strong backline, they can potentially disarm them if they fail to kill them.

Note that the unit with this trait can only disarm their main target, meaning a unit can only disarm at most 1 unit from one attack, even if the unit can deal damage to multiple units. Units like Mages, Sorceress, even Centurions and Knights cannot disarm multiple targets.
