Venerable is a trait in Symphony of War.
Overview
Venerable is a Unique Trait that means Lysander is not directly targeted by enemy attacks unless the rest of the squad is incapacitated. It does not prevent damage from area attacks that hit other squad members.
Strategies
Venerable allows Lysander to avoid many attacks, with other members of his squad taking the brunt of the damage. It means he doesn't have to be especially tanky and can instead focus on keeping the other squad members alive.
That being said, it is not recommended to place Lysander at the front row. Doing so will result the other front row units to be targeted more, reducing their survivability.
