Maverick is a trait in Symphony of War. It was added with the Legends DLC. Maverick is a Unit Trait that increases the lowest stat growth rate of a unit by 50%. It is not learnable through tomes and is only available as a trait on mercenaries.
Strategies
Maverick allows a unit to have a higher growth in the stat that they are most weak in. For example, a Sentinel with Maverick will have a much higher MAG stat than other Sentinels. This can be useful on many units allowing them to offset their weaknesses.
It can be used in conjunction with St. Teresa's Tiara or Aetherium Gemstone to further boost STR or SKL respectively on troops that would otherwise have a very low MAG stat.
