The Noisy Cricket is an Uncommon artifact in Symphony of War. It is useful to put on a heavily tanked squad to try to encourage enemy squads to attack this squad instead of one of your weaker squads. It doesn't change threat by much (-15%), so you will still need to be wary.
With Advanced AI enabled in NG+ or Ludicrous difficulty, the choice of which squad to attack is more complex, and while the Noisy Cricket is a factor, it is less useful than in a normal playthrough.
